Political outrage and social awareness? Or, a random bunch of loonies?? Rammstein definitely walks the line. Their 2005 concert Volkerball would certify that. An awe-inspiring show of great industrial music with the staple pyrotechnics and lights, with random acts of lunacy certainly pushed my buttons right... The highlight of the show for me would be Links , Los and Main Teil.

Mein Teil, a song based on a recent act of cannibalism in germany had the singer dressed up as a butcher leading a pot on wheels from backstage. Well equipped with a mic cleverly dressed as a knife and a flame thrower in the other hand, he then proceeded to flame the cauldron, with the keyboardist inside. Anybody familiar with Rammstein stageshows would know that keyboardist : , is the butt of many of their elaborately staged pranks and hoaxes. The show carried on with A chasing a now, on fire ,B with the knives in hand and singing "Es ist mein teil!' "Das ist mein teil!"

An awesome performance by the bunch of germans who will not back down and insist on putting up incredible shows each time...
